Vanilla Mini Donuts

Ingredients:

1. 1 cup Bob's Red Mill Whole Wheat Flour

2. 1/4 Truvia Baking Blend Sweetener

3. 1 teaspoon cinnamon

4. 1 teaspoon nutmeg

5. 1/2 teaspoon salt

6. 1 teaspoon baking powder

7. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

8. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

9. 2 egg whites

10. 1 tablespoon melted butter

11. 4 tablespoons honey

12. 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons fat free milk

 

Instructions: (makes approximately 10 mini donuts)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Grease your mini donut pan with non-stick baking spray.

  3. Mix – flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, baking powder and baking soda in a large mixing bowl. 

  4. In a smaller bowl, gently whisk together egg whites, melted butter, skim milk, honey and vanilla. 

  5. Stir wet mixture into the dry ingredients.

  6. Fill donut pan until each is about 3 quarters full making sure you don’t overfill. 

  7. Bake for 15 minutes. Donuts should be golden brown. (an inserted toothpick should come out clean)

  8. Cool for 5-10 minutes.

  9. Garnish with any toppings you like! ***For the vanilla glaze, mix 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon milk and a splash of vanilla extract.***
